Stop the Bleed courses train to save lives through three basic actions to stop life-threatening bleeding following everyday emergencies and man-made and natural disasters:
- Use your hands to apply direct pressure to a wound.
- Pack a wound to control bleeding.
- Apply a tourniquet.
Participants in the course will learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control it with three quick techniques. The ACS Stop the Bleed training course will empower you to make a life-or-death difference when a bleeding emergency happens.
Upon completing this course, you will receive a certificate of completion from the American College of Surgeons Stop the Bleed program.
