This program is approved by the R.I. Board of Electrical Examiners and the State Apprenticeship Council of the R.I. Department of Labor and Training.
Electrical Year 4:
- Load calculations-feeders and services • health care facilities • standby and emergency systems • basic electronic theory
- fire alarm systems • specialty transformers • advanced controls • HVAC controls • Heat tracing and freeze protection
- motor operation and maintenance • medium-voltage terminations/splices • special locations • fundamentals of crew leadership
Classes include reading assignments, assessments and online activities.
Each semester consists of 75 hours: 25 meetings in the fall term and 25 meetings in spring term.
