In collaboration with the Westerly Education Center and Electric Boat, CCRI enrolls students in maritime electrical courses that prepares students to work at Electric Boat. This course will prepare participants with the electrical skills and knowledge for industry employment requiring the application of basic electrical knowledge in maritime manufacturing environments. The course covers basic electrical theory, block diagrams-schematics, wiring diagrams, electrical circuits (series and parallel), power supplies, test equipment and measurements, introductory shop math and formulas – including Ohms and Kirchhoff's Laws, Blueprint reading, and an introduction to basic wire and cable installations and the required safety precautions.

Refund Policy:

Students must provide a minimum 48-hour notice prior to the start of a course in order to be eligible for a refund. Without proper notice or documented medical excuse, students will be required to re-register and pay full price. No partial refunds of tuition are made under any circumstances. Books and materials may be non-refundable depending on the course.  The registration fee is non-refundable unless the course is full or has been canceled by Workforce Partnerships. If a student requests a refund but has a balance due with the college, the money owed will be deducted from the refund.
