In this nationally recognized 8-hour in-person course, students will learn about early-stage mental illnesses and mental health crises, as well as how to assist a person who has a history of mental health disorders or longer-term mental health problems. Learn the skills to provide early intervention and mental health emergency prevention, to prevent or lessen future incidents and improve outcomes for your clients. This program leads to a nationally recognized credential and may count towards continuing education requirements in some professions. Classes are held at CCRI’s campuses across the state; employers wishing to enroll 15 or more employees may also wish to host a class onsite. MHFA can be held in person, virtually, or in a hybrid format, depending on employer needs.
